Cant get videos to work

I cant get the videos to work of the people playing. I have tried 4 and am only able to get one to play. The scrreen will just go dark and when I get the screen back it has a screen resolution of about 8 and I have to reboot to get my picture back. I have the newest download for the Divx and have a Dell LCD monitor. What am I doing wrong?

The avi files that has been posted by 2+2ers of there sessions.

Could you be a bit more specific, maybe give a link to one of them? They can easily be different, even if they're all .avi's. Try downloading VideoLan (google), that'll play almost anything.
