I'm glad that you now understand why the 2nd Amendment and unrestricted access to arms by the law abiding public is so improtant for the protection of all liberties.

Gang drug war violence is the same as terrorism. And it is right to instill fear of it as well as the threat of external source terrorism. And although we should not allow permanent curbs on our liberties to fight same, we can and should be willing to submit to occasional such measures for limited periods.

There are so many things wrong with this approach to the problem of civil liberties' erosion in the States, that I have no wish to even try to refute it. I'd lose the will to live.

Good luck with defining the "limited" and checking the "temporary".
