Default Foxwoods on Impulse

Semi on impulse, (I don't feel like getting into why it's "semi") I'm probably going to head up to Foxwoods tomorrow for a few days, whether I can get into the shootout event or not. I have two questions:

1) Foxwoods appears to be booked. Shock of shocks. Anyone have any recommendations for nearby hotels?

2) What are the chances of me getting into one of the shootout rounds if I don't attempt to register until Tomorrow afternoon? This would be my first vaguely important live tournament.

Thanks in advance!

AmericInn in Griswold - 1 year old, nice rooms and free breakfast. About 8-10 miles from the Woods off 395.

My wife and I have stayed here a number of times. Dont know what your budget is, but you can't beat the location--it is about 10 minutes from the poker room, less if you valet park.

Try the Hilltop Inn and Suites, they are right down the road. The shootout had a very long line last year, but they ran them several times during the day, so you should get in.
