I fold all of these, maybe I'm too tight...my Fold BB to steal tends to hover around HUSH standards though. I guess BB defense against MP and UTG openraises are where I'm tighter than normal.

Looking at the responses, I find it interesting that many will play hands like T9o and 98o but not T8o or 76o. What is the reasoning for this? Looking at equity alone, which I know doesn't provide the entire reason for calling, these hands are almost identical in equity vs. someone who'll raise about 13% of there hands. (A number which I think may be reasonable against an unkown in MP, maybe a little higher but that won't change things substantially).

Do we want to avoid hands like QJo to avoid domination? I noticed that equity wise, against someone who would raise about 13% of there hands from that spot, QJo is only marginally better in terms of equity than a hand like 76o, about 2-3% better. Similarly with the other non-broadway hands. Does the lack of potential domination make these more profitable to defend with since hand equities are so uniform? What about the reverse-implied odds associated with the weaker rank cards than the low broadways?

Interestingly, as soon as you increase the raise % to about 20+%, hands like QJo, QTo, and K9o really increase in equity to about 40% and up where as hands like T9o, 89o, etc remain almost unchanged. I guess that really shows how much you need to know your opponent to decide what to play in the BB here.

I guess an unknown from MP is a little early to make some of these decisions without any read at all. I think you're a lot better off assuming wide raising standards in the CO and especially the button. However, I think there is a lot more variability in raising standards from MP between different opponents. I still really haven't made up my mind what if anything is worth playing against an unknown in this spot.
