Default UTG with 2x BB in stack

Blinds 160/320. My stack = about 640. 6 players left, average stack around 1500. What hands should I push with here? Push anything and pray or sit back, pay the blind and pray for a big hand the next orbit?

A better question would be to ask what hands you shouldn't push.

I wouldn't push 32o-82o, 73o, 83o. Your next hand will be better. I'd push anything else.

Really? I generally push ten high or better here, but I also include 95o and similar hands in the fold category.

I guess maybe this is just quibbling.

Yes, I probably exclude a few more hands as well, but my point is that you're committed next hand, so your range should be pretty wide.

that's way too loose, imo. i'd fold a hand as good as Q9. Q7 is average (at least it's 50-50 hot and cold against a random hand), and there's incentive to go with your next one instead of this one. if you double up this hand, you'll have ~4.5x bb's, but still have to pay your BB. if you double up next hand, you'll have 4.5x bb's but have finished with your BB responsibility. i would not fold my BB under any circumstances if i fold utg, btw.

I think folding Qx would be a mistake.

Not often enough to feel comfortable enough throwing away a Q.

Wow, I never thought of that. Nice post. So really you should push here with a better then 50% hand because a double up is worth less this hand then next.
