Default Spider 6-max hands - part 2

these are just some hands i'm spitting out for you guys. they are not necessarily ideally played, so critique and questions are both encouraged. don't read the results if you don't want to, they are included for completeness. reads are provided if they affected the action.

please reference the hand # you are discussing

topic one

oddly enough, i just had JJ quads, JJ set, KK set, and JT quad J's in 4 consecutive hands yielding about 50 BB's in profit (JJ quads was capped on multiple streets). added: i just had quad Kings.. 3 quads in 100 hands.. nuts.

hand 1:
Party Poker 1/2 Hold'em (6 max, 6 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is SB with 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
UTG calls, MP calls, 1 fold, Button calls, Hero completes, BB checks.

Flop: (5 SB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (5 players)
Hero bets, BB calls, UTG calls, MP calls, Button calls.

Turn: (5 BB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (5 players)
Hero bets, BB raises, UTG folds, MP calls, Button folds, Hero 3-bets, BB calls, MP calls.

River: (14 BB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero checks, BB bets, MP folds, Hero calls.

My thinking was to trap MP. I also figured I'm splitting or just got rivered. This is probably wrong after the turn action.. tho BB was not a passive player.. so the bet was somewhat expected. What should I have done?

Final Pot: 16 BB

Results in white below:
Hero has 7c Qc (straight, eight high).
BB has 4d 5d (two pair, sixes and fives).
Outcome: Hero wins 16 BB.

For Hand #1, I like pretty much all of it. I can see value to bet-calling the river as well but I too tend to be confused in this type of situation.

Hand #2, looks pretty standard to me. Depending on the UTG limper you might be able to raise this preflop. I think KJ has its fair share of equity 3-handed.

sounds good.. my well played hands have been boring.. so these were the first ones with any interesting content

for hand 2.. i currently raise a CO/BT open limper. I'd also raise with KQo.

I only see one hand, sooo

Hand 1:

Bet the river. the check kinda looks weird here after the turn 3 bet, and since you didn't get capped on the turn, I doubt your splitting.

and I also doubt you got rivered.

Default Hand 1

I probably go ahead and bet the river. Given that you didn't and MP folded, did you give any thought to raising? Hell, even if MP calls would you have considered raising? If you know BB would bet, it seems like a good way to trap 1 or 2 more BB.
