OT: Hooters is rigged - Trip Report and HUC-II Blind Calcutta Draw

Slacker called me this morning wanting to know if I wanted to meet for lunch, and I said no 'cause I needed to work. He went on to tell me about how much money he won at the casino (most of it off of IHateKeithSmart) so I decided to let him take me to lunch (it's been a cold cereal and Spaghetti-O's kind of week for me). He picked Hooters. I closed my tables and drove to meet him.

The Hooters by Slacker is about 1/2 from his house. It is attached to a bowling alley that used to be a night club that used to be a bowling alley. Such is progress in Marana, AZ.

At first I couldn't see Slacker, just a table with four Hooters waitresses surrounding some dorky guy.

Found him.

I walked to the table and he had a deck of cards and was giving Let It Ride lessons to the girls. As is often the case, the girls dispersed once I sat down.

He had a buffalo sampler appetizer and we both ordered ham and cheese sandwiches. After lunch we put STTF-HUC-II contestants names into an empty beer pitcher and Lyndsey*



and Andrea* conducted the drawing. The high point of an unintentional-comedy filled afternoon was when Lyndsey told Slacker she didn't know how to read backwards (couldn't figure out how Citanul was lunatic backwards). Any way . . . on to the drawing.

After the drawing, Slacker dealt LetItRide to the two girls and me. The girls are going to be in Vegas this weekend for Lyndsey's 21st birthday. I gave her Irieguy's phone number (and the award for Best Friend of the Day goes to ...). We played about 10 hands with white sugar packets equalling $10 and Sweet N' Lo playing as $50. I lost the equivalent of a box of Frosted Flakes, and the girls each won enough for a diabetic coma. A good time was had by all.
