I can tell you like to defend but stop defending with any 2 cards. This is such a clear fold it's not even close. Stop defending you BB, you'll get crushed in the long run if you don't.

I'm on a text browser so I'm not going to go over each hand now. I think z32 said just about what I'd say, except I'm pretty unlikely to fold the AJ hand.

I certainly don't know exactly what your situation is, but I'm going to risk being a condescending jerk and say something anyway.

You probably need to fix a few things, but I think you will successfully move up through the levels as long as you can come up with a solid bankroll plan and stick to it 100%.

I don't think OP has the banroll skills to beat poker longterm.

Hmm, I found $130 so I will play a 109. A good player could take that $130, grind out $5 or $10 games and build a bankroll to play the 109s in a couple months.

Just my opinion.

I agree. I didn't even go near the $109s til I had 100 buyins. Maybe that's a bit extreme, but it's how I wanted to do things.

And as usual I agree with micro, I would also push AJ there, it's just too strong not to. The JT.. well.. it's "okay" as the guy in SB is pretty tight from memory, but never seen the BB before so can't comment, but it's rather thin on $EV terms anyways even if they both call with almost nothing.

I tell a lie. I've seen him once, for 19 hands in which he played one being 66.

I don't see any real harm in playing a single $109 to see what the experience is like, if it's not critical to one's bankroll. None of us knows how much $109 is to OP. Now, if he makes a habit of playing the $109s before he's ready, that's another story, but there's no evidence of that. He just had a night out, had a little fun with the "big boys".

I went out to dinner with my wife a while back and spent over $109. Does that poor bankroll management mean I'll never be able to play the $109s?

You haven't seen his other posts have you?

I think $109 is A LOT to the OP.

We may be wrong, but some of us guess that $109 is a lot to this 16 or 17 year old Chilean kid who has at least once before lost most of his bankroll by playing bigger games than he usually played. One of us even feels guilty for encouraging him to do it at the time. At least I'm not the vulture who profited off of his troubles, am I, Maulik?

How did he profit from it? I missed that story.

Quite a while back Val posted that he was going to take a shot at the $55s with a small, but not crazy-small bankroll. He said he was going to do it. I didn't advise him to. Anyway, I bet a case of beer that he would succeed. I don't remember how we defined success. Maulik took the bet and unfortunately he won. Fortunately he accepted money and I didn't have to ship beer to him.
