Default Re: Giving advice/opinions (lc)

[ QUOTE ]
I'm always hesitant to post what I would do with hands or give my opinion out of fear of giving bad advice. Should I go ahead and say what I think anyways? Because if what I say isn't correct, a more knowledgeable person will definitely come out to correct me, right?

Read the FAQ! The search function is your friend! This has been answered many times you newb! Just kidding. There's so much context in no-limit. There are standard lines, but they should be prefixed with "it depends" and not "never"/"always". That leaves room for different opinions/interpretations. If you have a non-standard line, it may be because you knew something about that hand that made you play it that way. If you make a mistake (e.g. your logic is inconsistent), so what? People will point it out and you will learn from it. We're here discussing poker. There's really no reason to flame someone for creating/adding to a discussion.
