Default Super System 2: Worth It Only For Harman?

So I was browsing SS2 today at Barnes and Noble. I'm particularly interested in the limit hold 'em section by Jennifer Harman. I started reading it and thought it was pretty good. I have no use for the rest of the book, as I have a library of poker books already. Anyone think it's worth the $35 (and I thought my college textbooks were expensive) for the one section? Probably not. I'll just read it at Barnes and Noble and take notes as I go.

Well, not for Harman. Check out "Super System 2 review" in Books & Software; not sure why you posted this here.

Isn't there only two new sections in it anyway? I heard the triple draw section was nice.

I really thought her chapter was pretty weak...it's the only one I've read through completely yet. She didn't mention anything I didn't read in SSHE or HPFAP. However, since SS2 is designed to give overviews of each game and not to really get down into the weeds as much, it does an OK job of that.

From what i've read online the Limit Hold'Em section by Jennifer Harman is very good. The triple draw lowball section by Daniel Negreanu is supposed to be special as well. The rest of the book is basically identical to the first edition minus grammar errors.
By the way, you can get the paperback edition of the book from OverStock.Com for only $22.16 plus $1.40 for shipping. That's probably the cheapest you'll find the book online.

I thought there was a new Omaha8 and Stud8 section also? Am I wrong?

Your right, there are Omaha and Stud high low sections. There both good and interesting. None of the chapters are long or indepth enough though to be considered the "text" on the subject. That still belongs to the 2+2 books.
