So many angry players this past weekend.

What gives?

I went to Hustler Friday night to donk it up in a $4-8 games. At least 3 of the players at the table were exceedingly angry the whole time. The dude next to me kept violently slamming his cards on the table. He got up real red faced when his aces got cracked and actually had to leave the table. I saw him standing nearby and he looked like freaking Yosemite Sam when Bugs gets one up on him. Another angry guy starting bitching at the dealer about how screwed up his luck was and how the dealer was so bad to him. Then the guy picks his nose. I asked for a deck change(first time in my life I've ever asked for a deck change). Dealer says "ten minutes". For the next ten minutes, I grab my cards with a napkin. At least I had the guy to my left laughing at that.

Then Saturday, I played $9-18 at Commerce. And again a bunch of angry players. Players yelling at floor people, service people, dealers, other players. I really don't know how some of the dealers tolerate it. Funny thing is, none of these people are drinking. It's more like they are p.o.ed about something else in life and they come and play just so they can abuse others.

I find it amazing how many people play poker who are simply not cut out for the game. People with anger issues like the ones you described are generally perpetual losers who choose to continute playing and release their anger on players/dealers instead of quitting and taking up another hobby.

Yeah. I don't get why people continue to play a game that obviously makes them so angry/unhappy. Oh well, I enjoy taking their money and hopefully driving them one step closer to suicide.

Ah yes...but there's nothing I like better than these guys, either. Not only do they play poorly themselves, but also, they tend to unsettle any of the non-predatory, loose-passive types, who tend to respond by paying even less attention to the game at hand.

Also...there's nothing better than the angry-shuffling-holecards-tell when I say "I put you all in." Usually followed up by an "un[censored]ingbelievable."

This can't be the first time you've encountered angry players in LA cardrooms. 9/10 that I go out and play live in LA the table is full of angry, vile human beings.
