Default Trying to get a PLO game going at Lucky Chances?

I am trying to get a regular PLO game going at Lucky Chances in Colma/San Francisco. Are there any players here that are interested? If so, go down there and sign up on the board. Or call it in.

What structure should it be? I talked to the manager there and she was clueless about what the structure should be. I was thinking 2/4 blinds with a 80-min/300-max buy-in. This should be a small enough structure to sustain a decent game for quite a while but big enough to make it interesting.

I heard that there used to be a regular game like 2 or 3 years ago, but it dried up. I heard it had 5/10 blinds with a big buyin.

Thoughts?

Where do you sign up to show interest?

Sign up on the Big-Games board, there should be a hand written list for Pot Limit Omaha. Ask a floor person if you don't see it. Or call the poker floor and have them sign you up.

Does anyone think that this game will actually get started?

I think it depends on the buy in. I have always preferred PLO to O/8 (although I am rather pretty terrible in both cases) and would like an alternative to hold'em. If the price is right and I have the option I will definitely play the next time I get to LC.

I typically play 20-40 there, but would try pot limit omaha if offered

Once there are enough players, we can advocate a smallish capped buyin.

I also play the 20/40 hold'em most of the time, but would really like to mix it up a little.

Does anyone think that casino management is making a mistake if they don't allow this game to start? I think that they lose a good game that might last forever, just to cash in on the hold'em craze.

I guess they might be too lazy to educate their floor and dealers on how to run PLO. Pot-limit is a bit confusing for most of those new and old dealers, and the players will basically have to police the game themselves (regarding bet sizes).

I really think this is one of those games that can run through the night and make them money during the graveyard shift.
