Default Early Vegas Tourney Thoughts

Played in 3 tournies on my first afternoon in town yesterday. Really enjoyed the 1 pm at Aladdin. Good structure : $50 Buy in, $10 add on, $40 Re-buy - Plan on investing the entire $100 if you want to play this one. The blinds were fairly easy to navigate with the massive amount of chips you receive (2000 plus 2000 more available with the buy back). I finished 5th to win $391 on my $100 investment. Would have finished 4th if I hadn't went out when my Big Slick was whooped by K, 5 when a five hit the river. I like my experience at Aladin. The staff was friendly, structure of tourney was navigatable, and I won money!

I played at the Sahara later in the night, but wasn't as impressed. Both the staff and the poker room were more "gritty." Tables were worn down. The room was still somewhat smoke filled since they allowed smoking one inch outside the open room on virtually all sides. The structure of the tourney was very livable, but I caught absolutely no cards and went out fairly early.
The last tourney I played was at the Rio, where I placed 2nd in a WSOP Satellite (see earlier post on that experience).
I plan on hitting the Aladdin for one of their tournies today, as well as maybe Binions.
Good Luck at the Tables,
Les
