Home game hand quiz. What did he have?

Played a home game on Saturday and only 3 of us showed up.

Unfortunately, it was the best 3 of all the players so we knew it was going to be a dogfight. Game is .10/.25 nl, $15 buy in. We also decided that the winner had to show his hand even if he was not called, it was fun.

I am in the bb and UTG raises to 1.25 and we both call, I have K9c. UTG is a good player, extremely tricky and agressive and uses position to the max. He raises on the button almost every time, usually to a buck.

Anyway flop is AJ2 with 2 clubs. He bets 1.75, SB folds, I call, we both have about 16 bucks left. I have him on AK at this point. Turn is a 3 no club, I check he fires $3 and I call. Pot is $13.25.

River is a 10 no club. I check obviously, and he thinks for a few seconds and says, "Well, I think I have to go all in here" and does so for $13.

JTs but not clubs, unless the Jack on board wasn't a club.

If d. was right and he had 54c, that is pretty tricky.

It would be easier to anwer your question if you'd put him to the test. By just calling all the way, you gave up the chance to get some more info, IMHO (though I'm no poker expert by a long shot).

I would have at least semi-bluffed him for a good sized bet when I was on the flush draw with two cards coming. If he calls or re-raises at that point, you can figure he's got a hand.

Given his pre-flop raise UTG , I'd guess he had a pair, maybe 10's given his all-in bet at the river.

I would not like to share that much info...I don't want anybody seeing some of the uncalled hands I win with...it would destroy my image

He raised preflop... five bets.

He had JJ.

KQ? You could put him on a lot of different hands because of his penchant for raising. If he truly uses position, that is tightenign up in front as well as loosening in back, I put him on AA, JJ or TT (with TT being the least likely.)

I forgot you were the BB. Still, if he knows you're a good player, he has to wonder what you are calling with here.

If you missed completely, a bet of almost any reasonable size will get you out. Why go all-in? It's more likely to be read as a bluff (as you are now hinting) to overbet like that, so he has to think that you would think that. Or does that work on you in this game?

I definately don't put him on the nut straights (the wheel is probably the nuts, how often do you straight over straight especially 3-handed)? His bet read to me as suspicious, but suspicious in a "I have a decent but not lock hand and I'll call any bets, so I might as well move in and potentially knock a weak Ace out" manner.

You have K high. Who cares what he has, you are not going to pick off a bluff here often enough to justify taking 2:1. Not to mention, he could easily be bluffing the best hand with something like 66.
