Default My shot at Stars 30/60

Took a shot at stars 30/60 yesterday, here are a couple of hands where i felt totally lost. These are hands from different tables, play at both have been pretty much maniacal so far.

Hand 1: UTG is a decent LAG, 35.7/22/1.4, seems to be tilting really bad right now though. SB is new to the table, so far his stats have been 51/37/1.5, I have no history against him yet.

Preflop: Hero is Button with Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].

Turn: (12.50 BB) 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players)

SB bets, UTG folds, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 17.50 BB

Hand 2:
MP is pretty decent, probably pissed at me because i've been trying to run him over all night. Button is a maniac. Here i decided to fold to a reraise by MP and call down otherwise.

Hero checks, MP bets, Button raises, Hero calls...

I'm sure I messed up both of these pretty bad.

I can't see where you'd play the first hand any differently. You've shown a ton of aggression and SB still leads into you on the turn. Since you're the button you don't really force UTG into any big mistakes on the turn unless SB 3-bets (which could have happened if you had just called the flop 3-bet and then raised the turn), which means you're probably losing anyway. FWIW I like this flop cap a lot.

I hate the call on the turn in hand 2.

What would you do in this hand? Reraising flop was an option, so was donking turn or folding for two more the way it played out. There's a billion draws out there and second king on the turn is probably the best card for me other than a queen since it makes it less likely that either has one.

In hand 1 I call the flop raise, and pop him on the turn. In hand 2 I fold the turn.

I like your line on the flop and the turn check but given the turn action I fold.

Thanks for the responses.
Hand 1 I would probably play the same, I don't feel comfortable getting into raising wars on the turn against preflop capper and putting in maximum on the flop and then making sure i get to showdown seems like a fair plan to me. I was good against KQs here.
Hand 2 I should've donked the turn in retrospect to reduce the chance that i might be blown off the best hand. I was also good here, MP had 9dTd and Button made a very nice play with TT, unfortunately for him i was a tilted monkey and called where i probably should've folded.

Folding the flop is ok in hand 2, but if you call you need to fold the turn.

In hand 1, I flat call the flop and raise any turn.
