Re: How much would a good player\'s hourly rate be at $2-$4?
[ QUOTE ]
I dont understand how any site can be any fishier than others unless they limit their games quite a bit and make micro players play 1/2 and 2/4. [/ QUOTE ] In the case of Party I would suspect that it is because of their aggressive advertising. Ask any poker beginner what poker site they know heard of and most would say Party. rvg |

Re: How much would a good player\'s hourly rate be at $2-$4?
I have played 28,000 hands of 2/4 this year two or three tabling.
Winrate is 0.80bb/100. I have played 12,000 hands of 1/2 this year two or three tabling. Winrate is 1.86bb/100. I responded because I think I am a 'good' player. Not great. Not very good. Better than average? Yes. |

Re: How much would a good player\'s hourly rate be at $2-$4?
I'm at about 1.5 BB/hr per table while playing between 4-6 tables of 2/4. I'm sure others have done better.

(~240 hand per hour 4 tabling)(3.6bb per 100)($4bb)
100 over ~34k hands at 2/4 (240)(3.6)(4) 100 =~$34.5 per hour |

I dont understand how any site can be any fishier than others unless they limit their games quite a bit and make micro players play 1/2 and 2/4. Kinda like how truepoker and the crypto's used to be. [/ QUOTE ] As a bonus chaser, I play just about all the networks and there are very, very noticeable differences in game types. My pokertracker stats confirm this. For instance, the saw flop % on 2/4 games this month at pokerroom is 24%. (This is over 10k hands looking for the best tables at peak times.) Absolute full ring is even worse. Do you see that on party, Paradise, Pacific? That damn split brought more games to the other sites, but many, many more disgruntled multi-tablers play. |

On Party 2/4 or 5/10, I look for 28%. Party 3/6, I look for anything over 20% |

You can go into the session notes tab of Pokertracker and it will tell you exactly what your hourly rate is.
Takes out the guesswork. |

(2.4bb per hour)(4 tables)($4)=$38.4 per hour. [/ QUOTE ] $38 ph sounds great; but given the huge rake at 2/4, (almost) no-one can make 2.4BB/hr 4 tabling. |

I should have moved up a long, long time ago but I'm just so comfortable at 2/4. Stay at 2/4 long enough at you'll be beating it for as much. |
