Default 10 10 against a TAG

6-max with 10 10 in the BB. TAG is in MP, 17/8 after 52 hands and seems like a solid player. TAG calls, fish calls, I raise, TAG calls, fish calls.

Flop is 7 J 7. I bet out, TAG calls, fish folds.
Turn is 2. I bet out, TAG raises......

What suits?

If the board is rainbow, I think he has a lower PP or a very aggressive semibluff rarely enough to allow you to fold, given what we know.

What does a supposedly solid tag limp with here preflop? I tend to think his stats indicate more that he is timid than he has been running cold if hes limping first in from mp.

The part of is range that I'm most interested in are low pocketpairs and assorted Axs. The flop call doesnt tell me that much because I think he is playing poorly, I still put him on a low pp, A7 maybe 10J or QJ and maybe random and weird holdings because he play seems a bit random and weird.

He may have been waiting for a safe turn to raise a low pp, not unreasonable given the weak tight vibes hes giving off. That puts us ahead of 3,4,5,6,8,9 and behind A7, 10J, QJ, 9J. I'm not worried about being precise here because A) he is playing a bit oddly and B) we have mid pair HU against a taggish type player on a board that often misses us. We beat plenty here and I'm not folding.

The only other question is whether raising might protect us from a bluff catching on the river or ruin his shot at a free showdown raise. Personally I consider this guy relatively unknown and would like to showdown cheaply, but I can envision a case for a more aggressive line.

I called his raise and check/called the river. I was hoping for a lower PP, but thought he might have QJ or J10 sooted. He showed AJ offsuit.

What a terrible limp.
This is the kind of hand that after the check-raise I wait a bit to think about it and have absolutely no idea what to do. A 17/8 player limps something from EP on a very dry flop, and check-raises the river. The only thing that makes sence is something with a Jack or a 7even involved or a lower pocket pair. What's his AF like? If he's aggressive, and I've seen him doing this with smaller pocket pairs, I'd call down. A bit passive, and I think I could find a fold.
