Looks like you played it fine to me. I think it may be a two pair bluff by him, to be honest. You played the hand to hit the flush, the 2nd best possible flush. If he was drawing to the flush that's poker. It didn't seem to me by his betting pattern that he was going for the flush.

Probably 2 pair/straight for him, and his big re-raise was to try to represent the flush.

What did he have? (PM me).

This is a pretty big draw and you played it pretty passively, but I suppose that's good in an unraised pot. I still have to learn a lot on pushing big draws like this.

On the river I think I would bet slightly more, probably about 36$. I'm definitely calling his raise here too. All in all, I think you played this one fine.

EDIT: I think you need to pot the flop as well.

In an unraised pot this is not a "big draw" because you can't expect people to call with just one pair so you generally tend to have just 11 outs (if someone has two pair) or maybe the full if and only if someone has bottom two, in which case they have redraws against your flush.

As for the hand, bet more on this river. You can't chase and then bet like a pussy when you hit.

If I had something like AK or top 2 pair and the flush card hits and all of a sudden some guy bets 2/3 the pot into me (which is a very large bet by the river), im going to fold. I looked at the river as a value bet, so i only bet 1/3 the pot attempting to win a little extra on the end.
