Default Simple KK hand

PP $400NL

Stacks are ~$400

MP player raises to $15, LP cold-caller, I raise to $60 from the BB, MP pushes, LP folds

yeah he may have Aces, but as harrington points out in his book this is only going to happen 1 in 24 times that you have kings, most of the time your opponent has Ax or a lower PP in which case you're a big favorite

if not, you can still suckout with a king

This is an interesting topic.

Its true that 1 in 24 times he has aces but the thing is he doesn't raise then push after reraise all 24 times.

I still voted call but reads certainly could make me swing the other way.

Okay, I'm in the minority, but I voted fold. Very read dependent, but he made a reasonable raise, and then picked up a cold-caller and a re-raiser but still pushes. Unless I've seen him pull something like that with KK, QQ, AK or such before, I'll probably give him credit for AA here and just move on.

according to Baye's theory, if you think his range is only AA, KK, AK, its about even money with how much is in the pot.

if his range includes any other hand, call is correct.

Believe it or not, this happened to me twice this morning (against two different villains that I had little to no reads on). I called both times and lost to AA both times

EDIT: This was on 1/2, not 2/4, which is generally more weak-tight than 2/4 (in my experience). I think calling is more correct in the 400 game than the 200, though its not by a huge margin.

We don't have enough information. What do you know about the MP player?

I have been playing the 400/200 NL game on PP for the past 6 months. In my experience, at these limits, the villain almost always has AA. I only have 1 recorded KK that went all in preflop with the other player with QQ. Think about it, would you go all in preflop with QQ or less facing a strong re-raise. Stack size also matters and the short stacks at these limits (with <1/4 buy in) will push with QQ, JJ, AK, etc.
