Default 2/4 Absolute, QJo in the SB

BB is 24/16/2.2 through 240 hands
Villain in the CO appears to be a bit LAGgy, but I don't really have a read.
I have QJo in the SB

PF: Villian limps in CO, I complete, BB checks.
Flop: 9c 8c Jd (3SBs)
I bet, BB raises, CO calls, I call
I'm not really sure what to make of the raise, I figure he has a jack too and I just want to see a showdown.

Turn: 4s (4.5BBs)
I check, BB checks, CO bets
I raise, BB folds, CO calls.

I figured that the CO could be betting with anything and the BB was on some sort of draw or a light raise to force the CO out. I wanted to force out the BB with a c/r and then see a showdown against the CO.

River: Ks (8BBs)
I bet, CO calls.

eh eh?

PF raise it up.
The rest of the hand, I'm torn between your line and just 3-betting the flop...

I could see raising preflop, but it's not all that mandatory with just QJ. Postflop is excellent.

I'd raise preflop because I'm a lag. Definitely 3 bet the flop and lead the turn. You can't be giving free cards on that board.

Thats my line also, I dont see whats so great about heros line here?

if hes against say a wimpy KJo, villan may go into call down mode on the turn after you raise him. When he doesn't improve the river he just calls.

Maybe more chance of a fold? But i'd be 3betting the flop and leading the turn(No free cards, money in on a cheap street so you're ok if you get capped etc).

No one agree then?

The problem with your line is that with this board giving a free card is pretty likely.
I am torn between 3-betting the flop and leading the turn or flat-calling the flop and donking a save turn.

There were several reasons why I didn't 3-bet the flop.

I think that the BB is very unlikely to take a free card on the turn. I figured he would almost always bet the turn after raising the flop.

Also, I'm not sure how correct the following is, but I've been thinking about it: There's no way the Villain is going to fold if I 3-bet the flop. If I 3-bet the BB and Villain are just going to call for one extra bet. Then the pot is much larger on the turn and they will have odds to call with a lot of hands. However, if I let the BB bet the turn (as i mistakenly predicted), the Villain has far worse odds on a turn call. I'm not sure how correct this idea is, hopefully someone else can evaluate my plan.
