I should mention that my dubious advice about taking money from fisheses pertains solely to limit. I don't know a thing about pot limit other than that I am one of the fisheses there.

I play limit as well although as I look around to other sites such as Pokerroom skins and Primas, the only real action is PL so at some point I think I will have to learn to play that for the rakeback. But for now limit seems like a safer place to learn the game.

Remember the context. I was speaking to someone just starting out, who hasn't even read a book.

Party has very juicy 5-10 6-max games. You should try those.

Hello Felcia.

I am trying to learn Omaha. I have Ray Zee's book, it showed up in the mail last week. Are there any other books that you would recomend?

PS. cliff Castle casino wasn't that bad.

Steamboatin,

Nice to see you post over here for a change. You'll like Omaha. Lot's of fish playing at the casinos.

There are a couple other books to look at, but Ray's is by far and away the best.

If you are learning limit O8, take a look through the posts that Buzz makes. If you are looking at PLO8, then check out posts by Ribbo, Wintermute, etc.

Gooper and Gergery have good all around skill posts.

Good luck,

Ironman Dave

I think it had better be limit. The only live pot limit Omaha around is played for high only at Caesar's IN every Wednesday and it plays really big. Way to big for me even if I knew what I was doing.

They are starting to get interest lists at Caesar's for 4-8 hi/lo and they actually spread a 10-20 hi/lo Saturday.

I have been playing micro-limit Omaha on Hollywood poker when there is a game avalable.

Nice to see you and your shirt here. Go to www.O8poker.com for starters and some good links. Pokerstars has .02/.04 & .05/.10 limit O8 with no rake. Usually have a few games running, good for practice.
