It doesn't matter who finishes the season.

Are the vikings allowed to immediately fire tice and pick up Mariucci? If so, they should.

I don't think Mariucci will jump into another coaching job right away. He wanted to take a year off after SF let him go but took the Lions job instead.

This is sort of off topic, but someone told me that Herman Moore offered to come and teach the current WRs a few things and was told No thanks by the Lions FO/coaches. Any truth to this? If they did say no, I'm sure they had their reasons. I'm just wondering if their reasons were any good....

I've never heard anything of the sort. But, I've always liked Herman Moore, very classy, team-orientated guy.

I read this on Freep.com (Detroit Free Press). Also heard it on a radio show.

Modern era, we have 3 division championships and a few playoff apperances. By no means is this good but this is far beyond anything the cardinals have done. Not sure but I don't think they have made the playoffs since the merger.

[/ QUOTE ]

Cardinals made the playoff in '98. They even beat the Cowboys and advanced to the Divisional Round where they lost the Vikings.

Might just be my lack of memory have they drafted an Offensive Lineman that was ever able to start since Jeff Backus?

Haha you are going to like this....They selcted Jeff Backus with their 1st pick in 2001 and also took Dominic Roila with their 2nd pick the same year. Since then they have selected 3 O Linemen. 1 in 2002 with their 7th round pick (259 Overall), 1 in 2003 with their 7th round pick (216 Overall), and 1 in 2004 with their 6th round pick (172 Overall).

The Lions are the worst franchise in the modern history on the NFL.

[/ QUOTE ]

It all trickles down from the top. And the situation is hopeless.
