I don't disagree with this move, but firing Millen also seems like a no brainer.

I think Mariucci is a good coach. But while watching the game on Thursday, the annoucners said something about him wanting to get his team to practive better. Its week 10. If they don't practice well by then, then he's doing a [censored] job.

The Lions are the worst franchise in the modern history on the NFL. They have always been an underacheiving, over-injured group of non-performers who never amount to anything.

Until the Fords release control of the organization they will never be SB caliber team.

I disagree. We definately have a thing or two on the Arizona Cardinals. And we were alright a few years during Barry's time.

I agree here. The only way that you could explain ineptitude for this long is poor front office management.

Alright? Is 'Alright' good enough? Not good enough to get Barry to want to stay.

This is sort of off topic, but someone told me that Herman Moore offered to come and teach the current WRs a few things and was told No thanks by the Lions FO/coaches. Any truth to this? If they did say no, I'm sure they had their reasons. I'm just wondering if their reasons were any good....

I've never heard anything of the sort. But, I've always liked Herman Moore, very classy, team-orientated guy.

Modern era, we have 3 division championships and a few playoff apperances. By no means is this good but this is far beyond anything the cardinals have done. Not sure but I don't think they have made the playoffs since the merger.

Now he'll be replaced by some donk that will do an even worse job.

Dick Jauron, ok, not bad. Something like this is to be expected. He will be dismissed at the end of the year. Who will they hire when the season is over? College coach?
