Harrison is arguably not even the best receiver on the team at this point and will almost certainly not be going forward.

edge and its not even close.

if the Colts had anyone other than peyton manning at QB, then i'd probably go with marvin. but seeing as how manning can get the ball to any receiver, i'd rather give up a wide receiver than the best RB in football... but thats just me.

Aside from the best rb in football comment, this is how I see it.

The answer is Harrison, and it really isn't even close.
This has everything to do with the positions they play and the market for their skills.
Look around the NFL, there is an enormous glut of talented running backs. Compare Edge to the average starting RB in the NFL and Compare Marv to the average #1 WR in the NFL. It is obvious that Edge is far more easily replaced than Marvin.

RBs that are in the same relative league as Edge: LT, Alexander, C-Mart, Tiki, Portis, Holmes, Dillon, Rudi, McGahee. Any one of these guys could step in to the Colts and put up numbers in Edge's range. There are several younger backs like Larry Johnson and Steven Jackson that could probably do it as well. Running backs grow on trees.

WRs that are in the same realm as Marvin Harrison: TO, Moss, CJ and Holt. Thats it.

Bill Polian knows that he can replace a stud RB because he already did it when he traded away Marshall Faulk.
In any case, as a Colts fan I'm glad that we have the right man making the decision. Had it not been for Polian, this team very realistically could have drafted Ryan Leaf and Ricky Williams.
Can you say LA Colts?

Harrison hasn't provided close to the value as Edge this year.
