Default bodog disconnects???

i'm playing a tournament after not playing at bodog for months. Ten minutes into it I get disconnected, check hh, have 22 would have turned full house against a guys trips, twenty five minutes later get disconnected again, get reconnected to watch KK mucked. Person had 1010 ready to go to the felt with from the looks of hh. I'm pissed off because I would easily be 3500 chips on top of 2nd place if this wouldn't have happened. I call support they tell me no disconnect protect in tournaments WTF????? He just keeps telling me that this happens while I'm trying to voice my suggestion of a disconnect protect. His excuse was asking me if I would want to wait for everyone to reconnect that got disconnected. If I have the security to know these hands won't be mucked I would wait gladly I tell him to no avail. I never get disconnected from any other sites I play on, anyone have troubles like this at Bodog??

I have problems there w/disconnects sometimes if I'm trying to do other things such as burning a movie. I also sometimes have trouble if I try and play on another site at the same time.

i've also had trouble w short-term disc's. it sucks. i emailed them today and haven't heard back yet.

edit to add: one part of the problem is that they give you very little time to act, so you'll disc a lot more often if you have a moderate amount of lag.

I have suffered a number of disconnects at Bodog, I believe all while playing just one table. I switched a few weeks ago from dial-up to DSL-lite, the slowest version of DSL. I still have had disconnects, but I'm getting them less often now.

The frustrating part about disconnects at Bodog is that the software seems to do a poor job of automatically reconnecting me. I'm always torn between sitting there for I don't know how long waiting on the automatic reconnection, which I don't know will actually happen, or signing off and then signing back on again.

I can tell by having seen others disconnected that if I let the reconnection software do its thing, I will get extra time in the hand to act, thereby preserving a possible win in the hand. The problem is that I don't have confidence that I will eventually be automatically reconnected, while I do have confidence that I can close the client, restart it, sign back on, and be at my table relatively quickly, though out of the hand I was in plus usually the next one.

This is absolutely a factor. I wish I had more time to act there, particularly during my occassional forays into 2-tabling with my pathetically small monitor.
