I am not sure - I was thinking that if he does not have Kx (or 33) he would fold anything else here.

If he calls you beat any other A except AQ. If the turn is not an A and he comes out betting I think you can fold there - do you have a read (edit: a read that he would or will never fold here w/o a K)?

Good hand posts fly.

I have played back in this situation where I felt the villain was an overly aggressive player looking to push me around. EV seems difficult to figure because villain may fold on the spot(no king) or call the bet with a mid-pp and see what you do on the turn.

If he has a king you would like to think he is going to play it fast and you can be comfortable folding.

Call and then see what happens. Sometimes just calldown and sometimes raise the turn.

A king never plays like this, but your hand sucks.

You know (even though I know what he had,) I'm thinking more and more a donk w/ a king DOES play like this.

I wish I had a better read on the guy, but if had, say, 50 or 100 hands at 45+ vpip, I'd say he is definately the average recreational player who would probably do just that (c/r) with a K here, not knowing the reasons why you shouldn't.

Now if his 50+ hand stats were saying tag, I'd definately put him on a 3 or low/mid pp.

flush draws and pocket pairs do this. flopped trip Ks wait 'til the turn (sometimes even the river) - typically. check/call ponder calling/raising the turn dependent on the card.

Yeah yeah, I know that WE typically (situationally dependant) wait till the turn, but someone who knows nothing of poker strategy would be more inclined to spring the trap on the flop I believe.
