Re: ($11) First hand and everyone is limping
[ QUOTE ]
I am dead serious when I say that I'd rather have J6o on the button than AA UTG in an unraised multiway pot with poor players. [/ QUOTE ] This is so silly. |

Re: ($11) First hand and everyone is limping
I might limp with lots of hands there just for fun but Q8o is just too poor I think.

Re: ($11) First hand and everyone is limping
[ QUOTE ]
If I'm feeling particularly masochistic, I'll thrown in a raise of $135 to wake everyone up. [/ QUOTE ] FYP No need for that kind of FPS junk to win money on an 11. This aint the final table of the WPT. Let the donks do this kind of crap, be patient, sit this one out. I can honestly say that it is possible to slaughter the 11s without ever bluffing in levels one or two. In fact, never bluffing EARLY against these opponents is the proper strategy. |

Re: ($11) First hand and everyone is limping
it may be 15 for 135, but what are the odds u'll hit a playable hand?
u need nut-straight or a boat...u can play a set or 2pair as well, tho beware too many people in the pot...not worth it... for perspective, pokerstove did an analysis of when it's ok to play unsuited connectors... 0-gap: sb with 5 limpers 1-gap: sb with 6 limpers 2-gap: unplayable 3-gap: unplayable only 3.8% of flops will fit, according to pokerstove, and you'll win 53% of those hands you need 60-1 odds to call 3-gap unsuited 12:1 for 0gap 15:1 for 1gap 20:1 for 2gap hand % flop % win combined high card 0.00 0.00 0.00 one pair 0.00 0.00 0.00 two pair 1.69 28.00 0.47 trips 0.89 61.00 0.54 straight 0.33 73.00 0.24 full house 0.81 92.00 0.74 quads 0.05 99.00 0.05 % pots won 2.04 |

Re: ($11) First hand and everyone is limping
you're right, that's why you only win 73% of those pots
where you do hit the straight |
