Default A great raise based on dead cards.

3rd street is debatable on whether I should cap or not, the table is extremely weak...

6th street is a really great raise which may have saved me the whole pot.. Its based on not only the cards showing on board but previously folded 8 and 3 which I somehow remembered.

I felt REALLY good after making this play and thought I'd share it with you guys.

7 Card Stud High ($5/$10), Ante $0.50, Bring-In $2 (hand converter)

I'd bet the river too. Your board is such that you couldn't possibly beat a straight on 6th, so he definitely would have reraised you there if he did have the unlikely straight. Meanwhile he probably either started with a pair or paired somewhere along the way ot have made it this far, so he could easily have 2 pair and decide to pay you off. If you get raised you may have to fold, but I think overall you will gain some value here.

Wow that is good.

Unless I'm mistaken he only had 3 outs left, two 8's and one 3 ... very short odds to catch on the river and I'm guessing his hole cards were split 5's with an A kicker? (wild guess, he could have had anything I know)

SDM,

Remember, when you "put people on a hand", you put them on a range of hands.. Not usually one thing in particular.

There are of course exceptions, and sometimes it seems really obvious a person has a four flush from the way a hand has played out, etc..

I usually find myself putting people on a bluff.

Its something I'll try to work on, but given the pace of the game I find myself thinking only about 2 hands for my opponent, and one is always rolled up.

He actually showed down 2 clubs in the hole.. Had more outs than I thought.

I love the raise on 6th. I probably would have missed it even 2-tabling.

Why didn’t you bet out on 4th though?
