actually i've never been to a stock car race and i'm told that it's best to withold judgment till one has, but zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz....

it's all about the WRC, imo.

YES! Why don't more people understand this? WRC is the highest form of auto racing there is.

did you ever see any old 'class b' rally videos? the restrictions were (i think): 500 production models and a stock grill (or something ridicilus like that). the Audi quattros DOMINATED it, one driver said that they'd go from 160 to 200 ON DIRT, like a production car goes from 20 to 30. my friend had a movie abouyt it- it was FAST. i'll look for a link.

Since the IRL has reduced the Indy 500 to amateur hour, I relucantly have to agree with you.

So sad... Man to be back in the late 80s/early 90s of Indycar days...

My only beef with Nascar is that I can watch the first 20 laps, then sleep until the last 10 and not miss anything too relevant.
