Has anyone been to the new Morongo and is it still 18+

Planning a trip and thought this might be good cause its close(relativlely). Anyone seen the new room? Is the casino still 18+ or did they change it? No info on their website.

yes its still 18. the new poker room is still the same small size. however the waiting list has somehow gotten wayyyy longer. its absurd. its so long now that they even had to put in a computerized wait list. and they still don't have shufflers.

i see that your from orange county also, stick to viejas. it has the best poker room in all of southern ca.

Well, that is all relative, I am way old (32) I would be traveling with some 20 year olds who play poker, but cannot go into the 21+ places, how far down is Viejas?

viejas is 100 miles south from irvine. morongo is 70 miles north from irvine. its well worth the extra 30 miles. from the oc, take the 5 south, 5 south turns into I-805 south, take the I-8 east exit, exit willows road, make a left and your there. and yes viejas is 18.

Talked to a dealer today who works at Morongo. They will be expanding to 30+ tables in the next couple of months.

Why they didn't do this when they were building the joint, I have no idea.

I figured Viejas was 18+, thats good to know, but I am a lot closer to Morongo, as I do not live in Irvine, I am much nearer the 60, but there are quite a few casinos that are 18+ in San Diego county, but most dont have poker rooms, if your friends dont play poker.

the only ones that i know of in san diego that are 18+ are viejas, barona, and sycuan
