I signed up for the 9:15 10+1 Rebuy on PS's. I checked the time and it said 51 minutes until the tourney starts, I came back around 30 minutes later to find that it still only had 21 players registered and still had 51 minutes until start. I shut down ps's and restarted it and now the tourney is "announced" rather than registering with players. Interesting, hope I get a credit. Seems as if everyone is having the same problem. I'm sure Pokerstars keeps great logs so while it might take a while to refund all the players it will more than likely get done eventually. I wouldn't worry about it too much.

This is not just a reply to gfunk911, I have seen several similar posts tonight. I do think ps needs to make ammends to those who have been screwed, but think about this quote.

played for a long time with 5 people sitting out, now it's just frozen, and i'm really hoping i dont jsut get my money back.

So if I read this correctly, it is quite alright that the 5 people who got disconnected and whose blinds were being pilfered should get screwed, but you should get more than your buyin back?

just my thoughts and I truly wonder what others think?

Ryan

I don't think you are reading that correctly. You are reading something into it, but that is not the same thing.

Took me awhile to get in with DSL, but things are running fine here. Just entered the $11 rebuy event @ 10:15

what a lame answer from pokerstars support ,
I would like to think that a site that holds my money
would be a little more responsible and seriois in his answers..

Hello,

There appears to be a problem in North America centering around AOL and
related networks. We are not having any problems near our server.

Please try rebooting your computer and going back to the tables. Your
balances were safe during this outage, but the cashier cage could not read
them from the database.

We hope that this will be sorted out quickly. We apologize for any
inconvenience caused by this outage. We can assure you that this situation
in no way represents normal operations at PokerStars.

Regards,

Thomas

In that chat window at about 10:30 PM ET (the 22+r)

Administrator: This tournament will be canceled, and all entrants will be refunded all entry fees. No additional play will occur. We apologize for the inconvenience.

I eat my earlier words, about not getting anything refunded.

IMO, pokerstars is showing their class with this move. However unfortunate the disconnects were, this is the fairest solution.

Cheers to pokerstars!

I think that this applies to all of the tournies in progress, not just the $22 rebuy.

Huge win for me - I was in for $82 in the rebuy, and had just taken a beat and just busted out about 10 minutes before the rebuy period ended. Now the money's back in my account!!

Kind of an anti-bad beat, if you will...

Ha, thanks I could help. It was all a scheme to steal karma from unsuspecting posters, for use in my world domination bid. The moon-ray is almost complete.
