Default Play from the blinds: QJs ($33)

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t15 (8 handed) internettexasholdem.com

UTG (t345)
UTG+1 (t755)
MP1 (t670)
MP2 (t1515)
CO (t950)
Button (t965)
SB (t2000)
Scuba (t800)

Preflop: Scuba is BB with J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
6 folds, SB completes, Scuba checks.

Flop: (t30) 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB bets t15, Scuba raises to t70

My thoughts:
I am thinking I am likely to win it right here. If I'm called, that's fine too. Since I have position, and impetus, I'll likely check behind on the turn if I don't improve. Check/fold river if I don't improve.

Edit: Can't check/fold river. Mean to say fold to river bet.

I raise also but I don't raise that high. I think a raise to 45 or 50 will have the smae desired effect.

Why check behind on the turn unimproved?

seems like raising then checking the turn is weak, if you get called and blank the turn fire out 2/3 pot, that way you may be able to hit a jack or queen on the river and check behind for a cheap showdown

I think I'd make it like 50-60, no big deal though.

Your flop raise sets up continuation strength on the turn, especially if checked to. I don't like checking behind.

I like the flop. I would fire 100 on the turn unimproved. We have 9 flush outs, 6 straight outs, and 6 overcard outs that may be good. Including our FE, I think a turn bet can be profitable. It also pays off when you hit your flush on the river and haven't completely announced your hand by checking the turn.
