Default AK.......Good Turn Card

Villian is 23/14 over 100+ hands. Villian is not showing any fright that I just checkraised him when the King hit, which IMHO makes me think he has either TT KK AA or AK. Can I fold this, or do I need to pay it off?

I always pay this off and wish I ws good enough not to. The villain is a TAG. He three bet 3-bet pre-flop, then 3-bet the turn when the king hit. Bearing in mind that the hero capped pre-flop too, there is very little here that we beat. At best he has AK for the split. Nearly always he has AA/ TT (KK less likey as we have one) and hero is toast. Maaaaybe sometimes AQ diamonds. Like I say I always pay this off. But i think the superior play is to fold

Ben,
I agree. I almost always pay these off as well, but I've been trying to get in the habit of not doing so. The way villian has played this hand, I absolutely can not see what we are ahead of right now. I think it is very possible that we are drawing dead actually. The only thing we have outs against is AA, and some two pair, though by the way it has been played, I don't think two pair makes any sense. I think the correct play is to fold.
