Default Lost with a set 4 way

UTG is pretty rockish. Tight passive pre and post flop.

MP is pretty tight preflop. Very passive preflop, pretty passive postflop. About two hands ago I doubled him up when I flopped top and bottom pair and he flopped top two. On that hand, he called the flop in position, and then pushed the turn. For what that's worth.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (6 max, 5 handed) converter

saw flop

BB ($123.55)
UTG ($240.70)
MP ($470.70)
TWP ($385.65)
SB ($275.35)

Preflop: TWP is Button with 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $1.
UTG calls $2, MP raises to $6, TWP calls $6, SB (poster) calls $5, 1 fold, UTG calls $4.

Flop: ($26) K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (4 players)
SB checks, UTG bets $8, MP raises to $35, TWP...?

Really not sure what to do here. Do I protect against a flush draw? Do I flat call? I honestly don't think I have been in this situation before where someone else led small into the pfr who raised and I had a set behind on a flush draw board. Any advice?

tough one. i think i make it $100 straight, and strongly consider folding to a push from either (or both).

you get it in here. if you take set over set on this board, you lose your stack.

Just to clarify: I never ever thought about folding at any point in this hand. I simply am not sure whether at this point I should call or raise and if I should raise, to how much.

you make it 100. not a problem getting action on this board given the action thus far.

So does Fim have the definitive word here? Make it 100 to go?

In full table I could fold. But short-handed play is different story. I would make 100 $ to go.

I'm pretty sure I'd go with that. I'm a little concerned that you think he's "pretty passive postflop" (is that over many hands?), but even then I think I raise here. I expect you'll find yourself against top pair and a flush draw pretty often in this spot.

Yes, this is what I was afraid of. I was hoping to see top pair and an overpair. In any case, I guess this isn't that complicated a hand and I was just annoyed by results oriented thinking.

I made it $100 to go and everyone insta-folded. Weird.

Make it 100 straight, and get it all in if played with.
If you lose then c'est la vie. Plenty of hands can go for their stack on this board.
