T9s in a situation (plus two What-Ifs)
against a decent player. 5/10. 5 handed game.
I have Tc9c in the bb. Button raises, I just call. Flop is Ah9s6c. 1. What is your flop/turn plan if u lead out and get raised? 2. What is your flop/turn plan u check raise and get 3bet? 3. What is your turn/river plan if he calls your flop check-raise and raises u on the turn? (assume rainbow board) (assume for all turn plans u do not improve) |

Re: T9s in a situation (plus one What-If)
1) 3bet flop and if capped, c/f UI turn
2) cap, bet-fold UI raised turn, if turn called, donk river under a T. 3) fold but this may all be weak since a decent player may lean on you with 88, 77, KQ, KJs etc. as well as all the aces that beat you... |

Re: T9s in a situation (plus two What-Ifs)
i agree 3 is fold, i'm lost in the other situations. sometimes i just c/c flop and turn since the ace is on board, what do you think?

Re: T9s in a situation (plus two What-Ifs)
adopting a call-call line with a decent player isn't something i like to do. I am hyper aggressive at the moment though
I like to stick it to a player who can think so they know that messing with me may cost them. Of course, that means i dump more bets sticking it to them than calling down... the problem with always calling down a thinking player is that when you get a hand worth raising, they will have the nouse to fold. My line means they may wonder a bit more... ...not to say it's the best line... |

Re: T9s in a situation (plus two What-Ifs)
Check-raise, if he 3-bets call down, if he calls and c/r the turn then I fold 70% of the time, call down the other 30%.

1) 3bet flop and if capped, c/f UI turn 2) cap, bet-fold UI raised turn, if turn called, donk river under a T. 3) fold but this may all be weak since a decent player may lean on you with 88, 77, KQ, KJs etc. as well as all the aces that beat you... [/ QUOTE ] totally depends on your definition of decent. In a HU match against w. 2 really good players, playing, sure. But after putting that much action in, unless its a free showdown raise, I cant see a worse hand 'leaning' on you like this. We are talking like 5/10 here though. Also your line is good against a lot of players, others I probably wouldnt cap. |

Re: T9s in a situation (plus one What-If)
thanks oreo, and i only play 2/4 so the texture of 5/10 is a total unknown to me.

Re: T9s in a situation (plus one What-If)
no no, its fine. I didnt think those lines would work at 2/4...I dont remember the limit being aggressive like that. But I think your lines are perfectly suited 10/20 and above.
All I remember 2/4 is a lot of ppl, besides Tags, that didnt know what they were doing. But ppl will still 3bet a lot of hands at many limits, so I imagine it works down there to often/sometimes. |
