Default Stupid or right call?

This is my first posting of a hand. Usually when I think about hands I wanted to post either I made a dumb move that caused another dumb move or I just got beaten by one of those 22-1 longshots (and I have taken an oath to nevr post a bad beat story). Since I have no idea how to use the converter here goes.
Interpoker WSOP sat. 150 entries 9 get seats for final sat. About 75 people are left.
UTG 4465
UTG+1 852
MP1 3630
MP2 3945
MP3 3660
CO+1 sit out
CO 1570
Button 1060
SB 4120
HERO - BB 920
Blinds 75/150 and going up to 100/200 in about two hands
UTG calls 150, UTG+1 goes allin for 852, fold, MP2 raises to 1555, folds around to Hero.
I am holding Ts2s which normally I would toss in a second BUT I went all in. Here is my thinking. Was I right, wrong in my analysis or just one of those morons who call with nothing and sometimes gets lucky?
1. After posting the BB I have 770 with a 75 SB coming next so about 5BB left. The next level is 100/200 then 100/200/25 so even if I double up from 700 I will still be very short stacked with 7BB.
2. My read on the other players was they would push with Ax or any two big cards. (Maybe wishfull thinking) So my outs are hitting a flush (since any two suited have the same odds of catching the flush) or maybe a pair will stand up if the board comes all low cards.
3. With three players the value of big hands decline and junk hands increase (but still can stay -EV)
4. If I hit I have 2917 and am back in the race with 20BB.
So I pushed.
UTG+1 showed Kd Jd
MP+2 showed Ad Ac
Hero Ts 2s
Board came As 7h 8h Js Ks
Hero wins with a flush.
As you can imagine I caught a lot of flack for playing T2s. I had to turn off the chat for a while. In one hand my image went from being a weak-tight to a Gus Hanson want-to-be.
My main question is (without regard to the result) was my reasoning correct and if not where did I go wrong?

You didn't go into it with any illusions or overconfidence in your reads, you knew that you were in trouble and didn't want to get blinded out so you gambled. There's nothing wrong with that. You were getting 3-1 for a 20-1 and got there.

Take advantage of that image now that you have some ammo.

Actually, he was getting 3-1 for 6-1, but i think he gets the idea. The call seems fine to me given his short stackedness.

I would be reluctant to call with such a gap between my 2 cards, but it's a good call nevertheless. Been there done that with suited connectors to suited 3-gappers.

When you win with plays like these you'll not only get back on your feet, you'll get A LOT of action in your subsequent hands. Hit some cards and you'll sky-rocket to the top positions.

You say "But Doyle won the WSOP TWICE with that hand."

Then start open pushing w/ high PP, get paid off, got to the WSOP, get rich and famous.
