Default JJ flops overpair against an overbet and call

UTG is 27/5/5 (VPIP/PFR/AGGR) after 150 hands
Button is 43/5/0.5 after 30 hands

Empire Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (6 max, 6 handed) converter

MP ($12.10)
CO ($21.45)
Button ($52.95)
Hero ($59.45)
BB ($56.65)
UTG ($60.05)

Preflop: Hero is SB with J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
UTG raises to $2, 1 fold, CO calls $2, Button calls $2, Hero calls $1.75, BB calls $1.50.

Flop: ($10) 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (5 players)
Hero checks, BB checks, UTG bets $9, CO folds, Button calls $9, Hero ?

The key number I'm noticing is UTG's 5% PFR and his pot size bet on the flop (very rare at this limit). Do I raise, fold or take a card off?

Button's call of UTG's flop bet, with you still to act, is the scary part. You're beat by somebody, with 2 outs. Muck.

How's pre-flop? I decided not to re-raise, given his low PFR number.

I guess it's not a hard fold on the flop.

Preflop, I call too, and hope no one reraises. Especially multiway from SB, I'm playing for set value. I have no expectation of getting to the river unimproved.

i like the call pre flop as opposed to a raise oop.

this flop decision would be a little harder if the button doesn't call. i would be tempted to lead this flop, but i think the way u played it was fine.

Really an easy fold? I have similar stats to UTG, and would play AK-AJ the exact same way, with a continuation bet on the flop with the assumption that I still have the best hand. Button has a ten with a weaker kicker, JT I'd say.

In any case, I think you're ahead, but not solidly. Raise to 30, and instead of checking that flop, make a 3/4 pot bet.

I'd fold, even though there is a nice chance you are up against AK and QT here. You played for set value, didn't hit, are faced with heavy betting, so fold and move on.
