Run Dick Run - Part 2 (update) 2008
Back in June I started a thread about who was going to seek the Presidential Nomination for their party. Since there has been some discussion on that subject I thought I’d bring it back. Here are the pols that everyone said would seek the nomination in no particular order.

I’ll add Republicans George Pataki and Mitt Romney to the list.

Rep. Tom Trancrdo (R-CO) I believe he said he will run if there is no strong anti-illegal immigration candidate Gov. Huckabee (R-AR) Remove Rep David Drier (R-CA)His stock has been falling the last few years. Rep Bobby Jindhal (R-LA) its before his time...

Add Tom Daschle to the Dem. list; just announced that he's headlining the Jefferson-Jackson dinner in Iowa. And if I'm not mistaken, he just registered his Section 527 with the IRS, meaning he'll be building insider support in 06'. Still probably not a lock to be seeking the nomination, though.
Add Evan Bayh to the Dem. side. Add Newt Gingrich to the Republican column. Add Frist, if he hasn't been mentioned already. Add Tancredo, although it's no secret him and Rove despise each other - so he'll definitely be running from the outside, so to speak. Pataki's probably a good add, unless he just really likes the weather in Cedar Rapids during the summer.

Dick Cheney stated he would not run for President. This was one of Bush/Cheneys strategies. They pointed out that Edwards could easily want to be President, where as Cheney promised he would not run.

Make two stops in Iowa... ...and you move up the list Get featured on C-SPAN's "Road to the White House '08"... and you're officially testing the waters... ------------ Speaking of C-SPAN's RWH 08', add Chuck Hagel and Sam Brownback to the list.
