Default TPTK raised on the river

To steal Bob's light here, this is a situation I hate. Had a good streak going and ran into this hand. Can't really give him credit for A3, KK, AA here can I? Anyone play this different?

It's donkville. Something slowplayed or a suckout like A3 or 44 is always possible, as is a total bluff. At some point, its not worth worrying about it. The bottom line is that you can't fold and you can't raise so you call, take a look at what he has, and move on.

Folding would be terrible...

I call and take a note on what he was holding and how he played it...

CheckRaising the flop is not a bad idea to help narrow things down as well...
