Olde English 800 was my everyday 40 in college, but the hard to find Haffenreffer's Private Stock, pictured in the original post, is probably my favorite.

It is, after all, the malt liquor with the imported taste.

Mickey's is kind of a malt liquor for children. It doesn't taste too bad, and isn't that strong. However, saying it is your favorite simply tells me you haven't had many 40s.

You're definitely right. I haven't had that many. All I can remember of malt liquor was from high school, "Dude, let's go get some 40s", "Dude, I only have like $5", "Dude, that's okay, you can get two Mickey's with that".

I thought all malt liquor was cheap so I never bothered to try anything else. I suppose I just prefer beer.

Downing the malt liquor quickly is very key. Many times I have spent ten minutes swallowing hard after that last gulp of lukewarm, flat, ghastly, liquid.

If you drink them often enough, it doesn't bother you after a while. At least, it didn't bother me. We used to call it drinking them "Boyz in the Hood" style; slowly enough that the end gets warm.

This is the reason why I like Mickeys. It doesn't as much as nasty piss as other Malt liquors. I do like the term "malt liquor for children" though.
