Default weird line with KQ

villain is 25/5/1.4

this was a weird line that seemed right at the time, now I'm not so sure

is folding preflop an option/weak? And I'd just call down if I didn't fold preflop.

I should add: my plan was to bet the turn/river assuming no A showed up, and to fold to further aggression. i was thinking WA/WB but didn't think this guy would bet the turn with TT-QQ.

Given that you didn't expect him to bet the turn with a weaker hand, I think it's ok. And yeah jinx, I think folding preflop here would be really weak. This is a pseudo-blind steal situation and his range includes many weaker holdings.

Folding PF is weak.

Can I ask why you took the line you did? Why not, for example, raise the flop?

I don't mind your line now because he'll almost always bet the flop, but you can't count on him betting the turn with less. So you bet. We're bet/folding? I think it's good.

How does that support a flop checkraise?
