If you think the table is likely to disrespect an over bet than go for it. You will either fold out everyone, get raised/pushed by a 6 or over pair. It is a weapon to have in the arsenal, but one whose use is limited to specific situations and I agree this could be one.

Bet 3/4 pot on the flop. if MP2 has an overpair you might get a lot of action and he will maybe take a card of with AK, AQ. If someone has a 6, bingo.

Check the flop

1/2 pot on the turn - still gives reasonable (not correct but reasonable) odds to flush draw.

HOH2 - always bet the turn as people may still be drawing (a flush in this case) and will pay to see the river. And in this case the river was a dud, which is a money loser for you.

How about this for a line?

I like a weakish bet on the flop, like 1/2 or even 1/3 of the pot. Often times this will get raised right then. I'll lead the turn for a even smaller amount that says "Please don't raise me!" Often times, that can induce a nice bluff. Thoughts?

waxie that works good against tags, which makes me think that line could work here as villain is a TAG...but this pot isn't headsup which makes that plan harder because if you lead small and there is a call in front of villain a raise is less likely because someone is calling with something....I probably play this straight forward here.

I agree with this...Its a small pot...that has missed the chance to be built, so an underbet is the way forward...??

without a doubt - he's short, so he'll most likely call.

IIIIMMMMM AAAAWWWWLLLLLL EEEEEENNNNNN.

Weak lead flop, weak lead turn, unless raised on flop in which case you Check min raise or close to it.

Shame you didn't build anything of a pot, but he's short stacked enough to make it an all in.
