River raise is no good.
Villain's most likely holdings: (i) a rivered flush (ii) a King, which he slowplayed on the turn (iii) a total bluff, which he's making a 'hail mary' attempt at as a last resort. (iv) a badly played rivered straight (v) a pair smaller than your QQ. Only the 5th option is potentially calling down, and even that is very debatable. For the other possible holdings, villain is raising/calling with a better hand, or folding a worse one. There is no value to raising this river. It's -EV. Adam |
