Default SNGPT and stars support

how does eastbay's tool work with stars? I can see how you can use it with Party as you get emailed the hand history of the whole tournament, but that doesn't happen with Stars. So, do you have to go manually into your stars hand history folder and find the right file, or how does that work exactly?
I went to the forums on his site but couldn't find any detailed information...maybe once you buy it, it is obvious.
Its ability to handle these tournies will probably be the deciding factor in getting it for me.

request a HH from stars, go to bottom and just enter in the tourney # you want. Then, what i do, is just save the HH as a text and simply open it up with SNGPT.

There might be an easier way, but this is fine too.

ps...if you forget the tourney # just request yor "last5" or whatever and get them from there.

what do you mean by request a HH from stars?
If i request the tourney summary, it doesn't have any hands displayed, just the results and such.
If i request hand history, I can only get up to a maximum of my last 200 hands e-mailed to me.

You can set stars to store the HHs on your hard drive. Then you just open that folder in SNGPT

Every complete HH from PS can be saved to your hard drive automatically. Open "Instant Hand History", click "Options", etc. (from memory, not on at the moment).

The directory you select (for whatever duration you select) will contain complete HH, which is fully compatible (*kind of) with SnGPT.

* I believe there is still an issue handling some of the goofy names allowed on PS (names with spaces in them, other characters, etc.). Check the SnGPT forum for an update. If the HH fails to load, I just open it in Notepad, replacing the bogus name(s).

I'm releasing an update tonight that will address all the goofy symbol names that have been reported so far.

well, i see how this works now. I've always just requested the tournament histories. But, if you go to requests, then hand histories, you can enter the tournament ID there as well, and it gives you the hands for that tournament, which then can easily be used. Guess all that is left is to buy it.
