Default Firm answer on the Party RakeBack issue:

Check the classifieds ads on the left

There is a highly reputable site offering 20% cashe if your rake is less than 1000 a month and 25% otherwise....

I recieved an email from said affiliate and this applies to new and existing accounts.

If you have an existing account, they will open one for you

[ QUOTE ]
based on straight-forward representations with PartyPoker. The commitments that we make to you below will be implemented in conjunction with Party Poker directly. There are no "work around" solutions involved in this offer

[/ QUOTE ]

Guess thats solved. Perhaps the "confusion" is becuase smaller affiliates havent gotten their OK's yet and are afraid to lose out to the larger and Party's more favored affiliates? I could understand that....

One affiliate I am with has posted that they have things worked out with Party and will be able to start signing up players tomorrow, both new and existing accounts.

I got the same email from (probably) the same affiliate, but from the wording, I'm pretty sure they're just opening you a new account. I'm apparently going to have to provide a new email AND new banking details. So, umm, I have some doubts...

Party poker affliates page (party poker website)

Ok, what's this then? how can they offer 25% if affliates only get 25% from Party. DAMN IT! I just want to play poker!! I wish Party just gave rakeback directly. Why do they have to go through affliates? Cardrooms all over the country have rakeback type programs, why don't these sites?
