What else can be said here besides: Who won? and with what?

Also, why not reraise all-in before the flop? Were either of you going to lay this pot down for an additional $40?

He has AAxx 100% of the time. I am getting the correct odds to call preflop, so I can call here. You can't think of any reasons I would want to see the flop before I put my last $40 in?

I'm not convinced you have odds to call preflop. I think it's EV= to slightly EV+.

But if you thought you had odds then what is the decision you are having trouble with on this hand?

What flop do you think hes going to fold AAxx with that much in the pot and 39$ to see it?

Maybe he's thinking about flops that HE would fold to. Like 3 diamonds or 3 clubs with an Ace on the board.

I wouldn't reraise all in before the flop. At least you can safely fold and save yourself $40 if one of the two case aces flops.

I think I am reiterating the post above, although the first time I read it before posting myself the wording wasn't clear to me.

So, you know 2 of his hole cards, and none of the suits. About the only flop I would consider folding to is A-small-small with none of my suits. Given that this flop would come down very, very infrequently and I know that my opponent will be putting in the rest of his stack no matter what, I would probably elect to get it all-in pre-flop to save myself the mental anguish I would have when the flop came down: A-Q-x-x or A-10-x-x or Ah-xh-x-x or As-xs-x-x and I would still have to call.

With the dead money in the pot from the shortstack preflop, I most certainly slightly positive but basically neutral equity preflop, calling $110 to win $181.

Post flop, I'm not going to be folding often, but a push here is absolutely retarded if you know the other player has AAxx. The flops I'm going to be folding have an ace and no flush/broadway draw. That's it, but it occurs often enough that I can save myself $40 here and have something to show for it over the long run.

This flop, with two overpairs and two backdoor flush draws, was a no brainer push. He could have AA3x, but even if he does, I'm still 13% to win, making it a slightly +EV move.

I posted the hand to generate discussion, not because I was having any sort of issue.
