Default some meaty decisions

hellooo... this is my first post in the ssnl forum; any criticism of my play/ thinking processes would be much appreciated.

Hand 1: Villain is LA/P, VIP64%. After continuation betting the flop, i hit my ace on the turn on a fairly uncoordinated board only to face a substantial check raise. I was leaning towards folding here as given my pf raising hand range, villians bet seems to be saying, 'I can beat top pair, pay me off'. I didn't think it was saying 'I have Ace rag and a very small brain' often enough to justify calling given the stack/pot sizes. Does anyone not like my line here?

SB checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $3</font>, <font color="#CC3333">SB raises to $15</font>, Hero???

Hand 2: Villain is LA/P, VIP62%. I had not seen him reraise pf or limp reraise pf before so assumed that such a move must mean real strength. I reraised again pf here to try and narrow his hand range; my mentality was that if he were to go over the top with a big raise here he must have AA and I should fold and if he were to just call I would play the hand accordingly. Is this thought process flawed in any way -would anyone play this /think about this kind of situation differently?

Hand 1 : fold, i doubt your TPTK is good here often enough

Hand 2 : push, if he has AA so be it. You'll see hands you beat here often enough to make it worth your while.

Good luck, your though process seem fine.
