I agree, the health-care does suck in Canada. Its mostly because half of our doctors have migrated to the US to take advantage of all the price gouging going on there in the medical field.

[/ QUOTE ]

I definately wouldn't say it sucks. I think its in the right path, just too inefficient as it is.

It sucks in New Brunswick. I can't even get a family doctor, a 4 or 5 hour wait at emergency is my only option to see a doc. I would imagine its pretty good in Alberta you bunch of rich basturds!!

I would move to Vancouver and just stay high all the time.

I mean, you might not be able to get treatment for your terminal illness; but at least you'd be sparking some dynamite bud.

I rest my case.

[/ QUOTE ]

You rest your case on the fact that 2000 of the richest Canadians travel to the US because they have to have their elective surgery in a matter of hours? Way to think that one through.

There will always be people that money is no object to that feel that their sore shoulder can't wait a week. I'm generalizing, of course, but not far off.

There is lots to complain about regarding our health care system to point to this. Doctor shortages and cost issues among them. I'll still take it over the American system, but that's just me.

The fact that the richest nation on the earth doesn't try to take care of it's least fortunate citizens is something I will never understand.

Tuco.

I found that article in google because I was looking under the topic; it is widely known that thousands of Canadians come to the U.S. for health care because the Canadian system is broken, as is the U.K.'s, and any other socialized medical system I know of.

The Cleveland thing was a joke. Gawd, Canuks are thin-skinned.

Well, yeah. You can get the finest health care in the world here. Good luck getting an insurance company to pay for it though.

Yeah, Tim Horton's has spread like a plague across the rust belt. First upstate New York, now Michigan. Soon it will get somewhere that actually matters, and then we very well may become mad.
