Incident at MGM this morning

i was once at a poker table .. the player asks to break down 2 black chips in his pocket.. the dealer takes them and someone one of them disappears.... the dealer gives the player back $100 in red... the player is like WTF - I gave you $200.. the dealer was like "sir, you gave me one black chip" - everyone at the table told the dealer they specifically saw 2 black chips...

to make a long story short, the player got the additional $100, the black chip was never found.. and it took about 2 hours for the player to get that $100, which is TOTAL COMPLETE BS............. meanwhile that player lost about $1200 rebuying about 4 times while waiting for that $100.. LOL

What? Casino replace stolen chips?! That's beyond ridiculous. If I get robber at the gas station, do they give me my money back? Of course not. It's not the casino's money that was stolen, and it's not the casino that stole it. Sure, they can help out with a peek at the video, but it's not their job to protect YOUR chips.
