Default Flopped set and I am not happy.

Villian in this hand hasn't been at the table for long but seems decent. Tightish pre-flop, it seems. Effective stacks $100.

Party NL100 6-max

UTG min.raises to $2, Villian calls UTG+1, I call on the button with 3 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], SB calls.

Flop ($9) 3 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 players)

SB checks, UTG checks, UTG+1 bets $15, I call, SB folds, UTG folds

Turn ($37) T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)

UTG+1 bets $45, I fold

Flame away

Yeah I would go ahead and raise the flop and get all in.

Make it $45(edit $40) on the flop, and you can consider folding to a push. There are too many hands here that you could be way ahead of, plus you have re-draws. If you commit less than half your chips here and villian says he really likes his hand AND your read is decent, then it's OK to let this one go, but make some sort of stand on the flop. Flat calling here is bad imo. If villian is semi-bluffing, you're lettign him go cheap and making a diffcult decison for yourself on the turn.

If I raise it to $45, I will have to be willing to go all in. I'll have odds against both flushes or straights, good odds too. I see no harm in calling, letting the field act and see what villain does on the turn.

The fact that he over bet the pot on 2 streets can more or less exclude a draw IMO (I never see a draw play it like that). It does on the other hand look like a made hand that is terrified of more cards, i.e. non-nut flushes, straights and sets. I have no reason to believe he'll fire this hard with anything I beat.

So he should commit himself and then fold when hes got excellent odds against his hand range. naah

Could Villain have something like 77 or 88 here Kongo? As you say, this looks an awful lot like a made hand trying to protect itself, but that doesn't necessarily mean you're behind.

Make it 40.
Seriously though I messed up the math, but you have to make to take a stab at this.
